Fundraising

UNI AMA strives to raise funds all year to reward members, compensate for trips and corporate tours, and support operational expenses and projects. This year UNI AMA hopes to raise $10,000 through fundraising events and sponsors. UNI does its best to invent the best fundraising practices so members are able to utilize their marketing and communication skills.

 

 

UNI AMA Planner Project

 

Goal: Partner with University Directories to earn $800 by distrus􀆟ng 5,000 planners to local businesses, students, staff, and alum.

 

Strategy: Advertise planners through a multitude of marketing strategies. Plan a delivery method to effectively distribute 5,000 free daily planners within the first week of school. This project will increase chapter awareness through the marketing of UNI AMA within the planner and presented on the front cover.

 

 

 

#PantherSwag Sale (NEW)

 

Goal: Sell 500 “#PantherSwag” t-shirts to students and staff at UNI for $10 a piece. Accumulating $500 in revenues.

 

Strategies: Use marketing strategies to promote our t-shirts to students on campus in the fall. If sales go we will hold the same fundraiser again in the Spring. Members will develop sales and networking experience. Funds will be used to reward members.

 

 

 

UNI AMA Membership Dues

 

Goal: Increase membership dues by $6 to create a $23 university membership due per enrollment

 

Strategies: Promote to members that dues will include new, free t-shirt. Dues support member costs.

 

 

 

Fright Fest Costume Contest

 

Goal: Raise $1,000 at the third annual AMA costume party

 

Strategies: Implement new marketing strategies to gain more students than ever before at our costume contest competition.

 

 

 

UNI AMA Challenge (NEW)

 

Goal: Recruit minimum 40 two-person teams and raise $1,000 in revenue.

 

Strategy: Plan, promote, and execute the first UNI AMA comparable amazing race competition on the UNI campus. Partner with the Accounting Club to ensure enough volunteers to man each challenging activity. Proceeds will be used for gifts to members that attain each tier within our point system.

 

 

 

AMA Advertising Competition (NEW)

 

Goal: Host our first UNI AMA adver􀆟sing competition with minimum of 40 participants. Raise $400.

 

Strategies: Promote the UNI AMA Advertising Competition to all business, communication, and graphic design majors. Work with one corporate sponsor to select the winners of the competition. Revenues will assist in etiquette dinner expenses.

 

 

 

Corporate Sponsors

 

Goal: Raise $6,000 in corporate sponsorships to cover the costs of club operations, fundraisers, and the International Collegiate Conference costs.

 

Strategies: Utilize strategic negotation and sales skills to present our case to businesses around the Cedar Valley as well as the UNI Marketing Board. Funds will support costs of corporate tours and workshops.

 

 

 

Black Hawk Hockey Sales

 

Goal: Sell Black Hawk Hockey tickets to generate revenue of $2,500.

 

Strategies: Apply numerous communication and marketing campaigns throughout second semester on campus to promote the Waterloo Black Hawks and generate revenues. Profits will go towards rewarding members with various social activities and awards.
